Rev. Dr. Floyd H. Flake
Rev. Dr. Floyd H. Flake, former U.S. Representative
, is the Senior Pastor of the more than 20,000Member Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral of New York in Jamaica, Queens and President of Wilberforce University in Ohio. During his 25-year pastorate, Allen become one of the Nation’s foremost Christian churches which operates an innovative and development corporation. The church also operates a 500-student private school founded by Flake and his wife Elaine, and a range of social service and commercial enterprises, making it the third largest private sector n Queens.
In Congress, Rep Flake established a reputation for leading innovative, bipartisan legislative initiatives to revitalize urban commercial and residential communities. Most notably, he authored the Bank Enterprise Act, providing incentives for financial institutions to make investments in
destabilized urban and rural economies. Dr. Flake earned the Doctor of Ministry Degree from the United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. He recently authored the book, “The Way of the Bootstrapper.”

Queens Borough President Helen Marshall
Helen Marshall was elected overwhelmingly as Queens Borough President in November 2001with 68 percent of the vote. She is the 18th Borough President of Queens, the first African-American and the second woman to assume the post of the highest elected official in a borough with a population of more than 2.2 million people.
Prior to her election as Queens Borough President, Ms. Marshall represented the 21st District (Corona, East Elmhurst, Jackson Heights, Elmhurst, Flushing Meadows-Corona Park and LaGuardia Airport) in the City Council for ten years. She was first elected to the post in 1991,securing 96 percent of the vote. As the first minority and woman elected from the district, she worked to enrich and unify an extraordinarily diverse community. Before leaving the City Council, she served as Chair of the Higher Education Committee and was a member of the Housing &Buildings, Environmental Protection and Women's Issues Committees. She also was Co-Chair of the Council's Black and Latino Caucus.
As Chair of the City Council's Higher Education Committee, Ms. Marshall successfully fought against the privatization of the City University of New York. Ms. Marshall, a native New Yorker, has been in public service for 20 years. Before her election to the City Council, Marshall was elected in 1982 to the first of five terms in the New York State Assembly. For eight years, prior to her election to the Assembly, Ms. Marshall was an early childhood teacher.
 
Pei-Sze Cheng, General Assignment Report, WNBC

Pei-Sze Cheng joined News Channel 4 as a general assignment reporter in April 2005. Cheng has covered a wide range of stories including the Lake George boat tragedy, exposing immigration fraud in the New York area and the December 2005 transit strike.
Cheng came to WNBC from WFSB-TV in Hartford, CT where she served as the New Haven bureaucrat porter and fill-in anchor, covering stories that included the bombing of the Yale Law School, the black out of 2003, the trial of former Governor John Rowland and the delayed execution of convicted serial killer Michael Ross. Prior to that, she was a reporter at News 12 in Norwalk, CT where she reported for the 5 and 10 p.m. newscasts. In 2002, Cheng produced stories for News 12 in Long Island. A graduate of Columbia University, Cheng holds a bachelor-of-arts degree in Political Science. A trusted reporter with strong community ties, she is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association and was recently recognized by the Asian-American and Pacific Islanders Association during their heritage month celebration. A native of Dix Hills, NY, Cheng and her husband currently reside in Manhattan.


David Ushery, Anchor/Reporter WNBC
David Ushery joined News Channel 4 in August 2003. He is the co-anchor of “Weekend Today in New York,” the station’s No. 1-rated weekend morning news programs and also files reports for WNBC’s various newscasts.

Ushery is the recipient of a National Association of Black Journalists Award for a series of his reports on children and violence and was honored by the Israeli Consulate for his dedicated reporting and commitment to the community. Ushery also works as a volunteer at St. Charles Borromeo City with his wife and son.
