Earl Francis
Earl Francis is
currently Project Director and Vice president of Capital Access Programs,
for the Jamaica Business Resource Center. (JBRC)
Mr. Francis oversees all
Capital Access Programs both traditional and non traditional capital for the
MBDC Client base. He provides management and technical assistance in the
areas of capital formation, both debt and equity. Mr. Francis works
directly with clients in developing all documentation to secure financing
with banks and other financial service industries. He also provides
on-going advice and support to both business advisors and clients.
Prior to joining JBRC,
Mr. Francis was a Vice President and Commercial Lending Officer with
Republic National Bank of New York, for over 23 years. Mr. Francis was
responsible for developing new business, extending commercial loans and
interacting with community leaders. Mr. Francis’ area of expertise includes
evaluating and developing small and emerging businesses to obtain capital
for growth. He also works with businesses to identify various problems
within the business that prevent growth and profitability.
Mr. Francis holds a
Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Norfolk State University.
He also completed the New York Credit Institute, Commercial Bank Lending and
Letters of Credit Program, Executive Formal Bank Credit Training, attended
numerous in-house training seminars relating to commercial lending and
attended J. P. Morgan/Chase Credit Institute. Mr. Francis is a member of
the Urban Bankers Coalition of New York, former member of the Greenwich
Chamber of Commerce and a former member of the Loan Committee Neighborhood
Housing Development Corporation.
Mr. Francis served in
the U. S. Army from 1967-1970 and served in Vietnam and was Honorably
Discharged.
